SYNOPSIS
Set during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the film follows two elite athletes through the Olympic cycle. Yaroslava Mahuchikh, Olympic champion and world record holder in high jump, spends most of her time on the international circuit, carrying the weight of expectation from a country at war. Liudmyla Luzan trains in Horyshni Plavni, building stability through strict routine. Balancing fear and concentration, the film observes how sport, in times of war, becomes a way to hold onto dignity and to sustain the possibility of a future.
