Albatros Communicos is a Kyiv-based Ukrainian production company founded by producer Anna Kapustina, working across documentary and fiction films with strong cinematic language, international co-production potential, and socially engaged storytelling.
The company focuses on auteur-driven projects rooted in contemporary Ukraine and Eastern Europe, exploring themes of identity, memory, political transformation, war, displacement, and the long-term impact of historical violence. Albatros Communicos develops and produces films that combine artistic ambition with international audience reach and festival circulation.
Over the years, the company has collaborated with emerging and established filmmakers from Ukraine and Europe and has been involved in projects presented at major international festivals including Sundance Film Festival, Berlinale, IDFA, CPH:DOX, Hot Docs, DOC NYC, One World, and many others.
Its projects have received support from international broadcasters, film funds, and institutions including ARTE, BBC Storyville, PBS POV, SVT, ZDF, WDR, Chicken & Egg Pictures, Göteborg Film Fund, IDFA Bertha Fund, IMS, European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian Films, Ukrainian Institute, Goethe-Institut, Women Make Movies, and other European and international partners.
Today, Albatros Communicos is actively developing a slate of documentary and fiction projects with strong European co-production potential and continues to build collaborations with producers, broadcasters, festivals, sales agents, and cultural institutions across Europe and beyond.
